One of the most prolific Bobcat wrestlers, Mark Yori, went on to also have a successful coaching career in his home state of Pennsylvania. The Erie native was a 1978 Peru State College graduate.

During his sophomore season, Yori won 28 matches with 14 falls and was the Nebraska College Conference and NAIA District 118-pound champion. He was selected as the Most Valuable Wrestler at the District Meet.

Yori was once again the NAIA District Champion as a junior having garnered 28 wins. That season he finished sixth in the nation to claim All-American honors.

Yori holds the Peru State career victory mark with 112 career wins and finished with three district championships.

The 1978 Bobcat wrestling co-captain then went on to be a successful high school coach for many years in Pennsylvania. Yori earned several county and sectional coaching honors. He went on to coach many youth programs and served as a mentor to many in Pennsylvania.

In 2016, Yori was inducted into the North East High School Hall of Fame where he was arguably the premier wrestler in North East history. In addition, he was a standout track runner.
