The Peru State Fitness Center is an exercise facility intended to serve Peru State’s community of students, faculty and staff as well as members of the surrounding communities. Numerous benefits (including physical, emotional, mental and social) are derived from participation in physical activity and overall fitness. The Fitness Center and its staff are dedicated to developing and maintaining a healthy campus and community environment.
The Peru State Fitness Center provides an ADA accessible and friendly atmosphere. All users must have a valid ID to enter the facility. An ID card (or access via your faculty/staff/student ID card) is issued upon completion of the Peru State Fitness Center Agreement Form. This agreement must be completed annually and is valid August 1 through July 31 yearly. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Fitness Center Hours
5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day
*Everyone will need their ID Card to enter the facility from the outside and/or from the locker rooms
AWAC Gym & Weight Room Hours
Morning/Afternoon Hours:
Monday's, Wednesday's, Friday's: 10:30am-2:00pm
Tuesday's and Thursday's: 11:00am-2:00pm
Evening Hours:
Monday- Friday: 8:00pm-11:00pm
Weekend Hours:
Saturday: 10:00am-2:00pm
Sunday: 6:00-11:00pm
* Please note the AWAC and Weight Room may not be open on football home games. During volleyball and basketball home games, the AWAC gym will not always be available, but the weight room and fitness center will be open. The time of the games will determine whether or not the AWAC will open at the conclusion of the contests.
Fitness Center Access & Fees:
NEW COMMUNITY USERS (in this order):
1. Pay the fee of $25 for ID Badge (at the One Stop, CATS Bldg)
a. No additional fee unless you lose your card.**
2. Take receipt of badge purchase to have an ID Badge created at the Office of Residence Life, Student Center, Room 114
3. Fill out the user agreement ONLINE FORM
4. Security activates the access badge.
a. Allow for 24 hours for activation.
b. If your card doesn't work after 24 hours, contact Security at 402-872-2411.
STUDENTS/FACULTY/STAFF & RETURNING COMMUNITY USERS:
1. Fill out the user agreement
a. ONLINE FORM
2. No fee is required.**
3. Security activates the access badge.
a. Allow for 24 hours for activation
b. If your card doesn't work after 24 hours, contact Security at 402-872-2411.
**ALL - If you lose your ID Badge, you will have to pay the $25 for replacement. Payment for a replacement ID Badge can be turned in at the One Stop Office, CATS Bldg.
