Oak Bowl

The Historic Oak Bowl is home to the Peru State Bobcat Football Team. The field’s stunning surroundings led it to be christened “The Oak Bowl.”  The Oak Bowl rests under Oak trees creating one of the most scenic venues in the state of Nebraska on a college football Saturday. As the seasons start to change from a luscious summer green to array of yellow, orange and red in the fall. There are not many places that top the NAIA on crisp autumn afternoon.

The Bobcats were 1990 NAIA Division II National Champions.

Fundraising began in the early 2010’s for a major renovation of the Oak Bowl. The $9 million project was part of a campus-wide master plan completed in 2012. While the State of Nebraska provided the majority of the funding, the College and its Foundation secured the additional funds necessary for the present-day facility.

The results of the project were dedicated in the fall of 2014 which provided a new field of artificial turf, landscaping, lighting and seating for 2,000 fans. Additional new construction houses concessions, a souvenir store, restrooms, suites for special guests, and much-improved press box facilities.

A school record of 2,934 were in attendance when the Oak Bowl was reopened.

There will be more renovations come to the surrounding area of the Oak Bowl.  Dubbed the Project "ROAR!" campaign there will be a Multi-Purpose Dome for the football team and a plethora of other teams and activities

The Football Team competes in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
