Perhaps the greatest display of dominance in Peru State College Sports history to date was achieved by the 1927 Football Team. In compiling the school’s second perfect season with an 8-0 mark, the Bobcats rolled up points at a staggering rate during an era when high – scoring games were uncommon, outscoring opponents 359-7. Had it not been for a single touchdown by Kearney State in the season finale, Coach Lon Graf’s squad would have been PSC’s first to hold every opponent scoreless- a feat perhaps unheard of on any level of college football. Included in Peru State’s victories were three exploits of 70 points or more and twice of over 90. The 1927 Football Team becomes the third gridiron squad to gain induction and the sixth entry under the “team” category.
