Elaine Ferin, Peru State College’s first female first-team NAIA All-American in any sport, made her mark in both basketball and softball. A junior college transfer who played at PSC from 1987-89, Ferin led PSC basketball squads to a 46-16 record in her two seasons at point guard. In softball, she set school marks in base hits and runs scored. Ferin batted .391 her senior year and was named first-team All- American.
