Prior to Dr. Wayne Davidson’s being named as the Bobcat Women’s Basketball Coach in 1985, the program had experienced few winning seasons. While turning the program around, Davidson built an impressive record of 165 wins against 101 losses. His teams’ outstanding win percentage of .617 is still PSC’s all-time high.
Under Davidson’s tutelage, the Lady Bobcats made four consecutive trips to post-season play in his first five years. The 1992-93 squad qualified and competed in the NAIA Division II National Championship Tournament. Davidson definitely brought Bobcat basketball to its top level. Davidson also was known as an excellent educator.
