Seth Walston was named the Male Athlete of the Month for February.
Walston earned the February recognition after being selected as the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Baseball Player of the Week on Monday, Feb. 24.
Walston batted .800 in a three-game sweep over St. Gregory’s (Okla.) on the road. The 6-4 junior third baseman went three of three in the opening win, including one double. Walston scored three runs, had two RBI, and stole a base.
On Saturday, Walston was two for three in the first game with a stolen base. In the second game, Walston went three for four, scoring a run, and driving in two. For the weekend, Walston batted .800 and had a slugging percentage of .900.
