Nicole Reznicek (Omaha) and Kyle Killen (Commerce City, Colo.) were selected earlier this month as the Bobcat Athletes of the Month for April. Peru State athletic director Steve Schneider recently announced the honorees.
Reznicek was Peru State’s top hurler for the Bobcat softball team this season. She finished with a 6-12 mark and had a team best 3.78 earned run average. In addition, Reznicek struck out 85 batters. Those 85 K’s puts her in the Bobcat single-season top ten at seventh.
At the conclusion of her junior season, Reznicek is already in three Peru State career top ten categories: fifth in career strikeouts with 194, seventh in career complete games with 36, and eighth in career innings with 324.1.
Schneider stated, “Nicole and Kyle are good choices for the April Bobcat Athletes of the Month as they were leaders on their respective teams.”
