Campbell, a sophomore defensive back and kick returner, was picked for the recognition for his record-setting performance on Sept. 10, as well as, his overall performance for the month. Against Culver-Stockton College, Campbell broke a 26-year-old record previously held by PSC Athletic Hall of Fame member, Roosevelt (Rosey) Brown. In the Bobcats’ first HAAC win ever, Campbell had four kick-off returns for a total of 168 yards bettering Brown’s record of 148 yards, which was set against Nebraska Wesleyan University. 

In the first game of the year against Baker University, Campbell also put himself in the record book as he had a kick-off return for a touchdown becoming one of several Bobcats to complete this feat. Through the first three games, Campbell leads the NAIA in kick off return yards per attempt (42.8), second in total kick off return yards (428), 18th in all purpose yards per game (142.7), and 47th in total all purpose yards (428). Campbell is the leader in the HAAC for kick off return yards per attempt and total kick off return yards.
