(Wichita, Kan.)- The Peru State men's bowling team wrapped up competition at the Mid-States Championships this past weekend, finishing
25th out of 29 teams in a strong field. The Bobcats totaled
4,922 pins in team play, averaging
820 per game, and added
2,797 pins in Baker play for a
174.8 average across four Baker blocks.
Leading the way for Peru State was Grayson Martin, who placed 69th overall out of 336 bowlers. Martin rolled consistent scores throughout the six traditional games, highlighted by a 211 in Game 5, finishing with 1,089 total pins and a 181.5 average.
Carson Pierce followed closely behind with a strong performance, earning 83rd place with 1,055 total pins and a 175.8 average. Zach Page also contributed solidly to the Bobcats' effort, posting 1,001 pins and a 166.8 average, finishing 109th overall.
Additional scoring came from Will Fraser (660 total, 165 avg), Noah Stone (606 total, 152.5 avg), Austin Watts (276 total, 138 avg), Ryan Hendrickson (145 total, 145 avg), and Ethan Crecelius (136 total, 136 avg).
In Baker competition, the Bobcats posted their top block in the opener with games of 201, 214, 147, and 185 for a 748 total. They added steady sets of 621, 747, and 681 across the remaining Baker blocks to close out a competitive weekend.
