Ethan Bray was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Offensive Player of the Week. Bray joined Leon Jackson, HAAC Defensive Player of the Week from Missouri Valley College, and Michael Brewer, HAAC Special Teams Player of the Week, from MidAmerica Nazarene University, as the honorees named Monday morning.
Peru State remained one game out of first place in the conference after another win on the last play of the game over Culver-Stockton College 31-28. Bray, from
Liberal, Mo., was a workhorse for the Bobcats as he rushed for 252 yards on 40 attempts. His 252 yards tied the 23-year-old single-game rushing record set by Scott Gerdes in 1990 against Baker University in the NAIA playoffs. 1990 was the year Peru State won the national championship.
Bray scored Peru State's fourth touchdown of the game against the Wildcats in the fourth quarter taking it into the end zone from six yards out. Currently, Bray ranks 13
th in the NAIA in total rushing with 813 yards, 18
th in rushing yards per game (116.1), 23
rd in total scoring (touchdowns) with 48, and 24
th in total scoring (48). Bray is now third in the HAAC in rushing yards per game and fifth in scoring per game (touchdowns) at 6.9 points per game.
With the honor, Bray becomes the third Bobcat football player to earn HAAC recognition this fall. Bobcat quarterback

Greg Conry (Harlan, Iowa) who was the HAAC's Special Teams POW last week.
The NAIA weekly awards will be handed out each Monday through the end of the regular season with each winner on the conference level representing the conference for those honors.
