(Peru, Neb.) – After a one-year hiatus, Peru State College (PSC) will once again host its alumni football game.
This coming Saturday, April 21, nearly 40 former Bobcat football players will don their pads and helmets to take on the current Bobcats in a controlled game. The game itself will begin at 1 p.m. and will be preceded by a reading of a citation noting the recent legislation passed in the Nebraska Legislature providing $7.5 million in funds for the future renovation of the Oak Bowl.
In addition, prior to the game, President Dan Hanson and new Bobcat head coach and athletic director,
Steve Schneider, will conduct the coin flip. The game will be an opportunity for the 80+ current Bobcats to showcase what the fans could see next fall.
PSC alumnus and former head coach, Jerry Joy, will serve as the coach for the alumni team.
At halftime, the 2012 recruits will be recognized.
As it is a special event commemorating the recent legislative success, a free drink and popcorn will be provided to those in attendance.
There will be no admission charge, but rather a freewill donation will be taken by the PSC Football Booster Club.
