(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Women's Bowling team made a stunning statement by defeated the #1 Nationally Ranked Mount Mercy Mustangs on Saturday, February 22nd in the first round of the tournament. 

The Bobcats were the No. 8 seed going into the tournament when they faced No. 1 seed and #1 Nationally Ranked Mount Mercy. The Bobcats upset the Mustangs by taking both the Team Game and the 4-Baker game set. A clean 2-0 sweep for the Bobcats against the Mustangs. 

The victory showcased the strength and determination of the Bobcats, who battled hard to outplay their top-ranked opponents. The win is a significant achievement for the team, marking an impressive performance as they advanced further in t he competition.
