Women's Bowling

Women's Bowling Competes Strong at Mustang Invite

(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Women's Bowling Teams bowled at the Mustang Invitational on December 8th and 9th at Morningside University.
 
The Women Varsity Team finished the first day in 5th after a total 4089 pins. The team had games of 776, 798, 828, 888 and 799.  

On day two, the Bobcats moved up finishing 4th and qualifying for match play. The Bobcats had a game of 840 and Baker games of 177, 172, 202, 180, 199, 178, 147, 165, 147, 164, 165, 164, 125, 162, 127, 173, 153, 158, 157 and 141 for a Baker total of 3256 pins, 4096 pins and average of 162.8. In match play, the Bobcats had scores of 191, 144, 212 and 137 for a total 684 pins, finishing 2nd overall!
 
The Women's Varsity Reserve Team finished the first day in 3rd in their tournament after totaling 3586 with games of 736, 755, 668, 712 and 715.

Adria Huiett made the Varsity Reserve All-Tournament Team earning the second spot on the list!

On the second day, the Bobcats moved up to 2nd place after having a team game of 687 and Baker games of 112, 142, 132, 145, 166, 178, 199, 180, 131, 124, 137, 127, 122, 111, 121, 143, 126, 136, 125 and 191 for a total of 2848 Baker pins. They averaged 142.4 and had a total of 3535 pins.
 


Individually…
 
Makenzie Millard (V) led the Bobcats with a 9th place finish, totaling 856 pins for an average of 171.2 pins after games of 152, 155, 177, 194 and 173.
 
Kaitlyn Doyal (V) finished in 15th with scores of 159, 154, 191, 182, 145 for 831 total pins and an average of 166.2.
 
Mindy Bartels (V) had a total 815 pins averaging 163 pins after games of 193, 163, 157, 140 and 162 in her 21st place finish.
 
Adria Huiett (VR) made the VR All-Tournament Team after finishing 25th overall. She had games of 180, 129, 125, 172 and 193 for 799 total pins and an 159.8 pin average
Caitlynn Gronenthal (VR) finished 40th after games of 160, 161, 162, 101 and 157 for 741 total pins and 148.2 average.
 
Kailyn Schafer (VR) had a total 716 pins for an average of 143.2 pins after games of 129, 190, 119, 152 and 128 to finish 43rd.
 
Peyton Gonzales (VR) finished 47th after totaling 693 pins in her five games, averaging 138.6 pins.
 
Ashley Pfeifer (V) had a total 689 pins in her four games for an average of 172.3 pins and finishing 48th.
 
Haylie Colwell (VR) finished 58th after having an average of 127.4 pins in her five games for a total 637 pins.
 
Aleia Crandall (V) had a total 511 pins in her three games for an average 170.3 pins in her 70th place finish.
 
Abby Yates (V) finished 79th after totaling 392 her three games, averaging 130.7.
 
Next: The Bobcats will compete on January 18th and 19th in Columbia, Missouri at the Columbia Cougar Clash.
