(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Women's Bowling team opened their season in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Midwest Collegiate Championships. The team got 26
th at the tournament with a total 7143 pins during the meet.
Makenzie Millard, a junior from Topeka, Kan., led the team finishing in 12th place after she totaled 1035 pins. Millard had games of 234, 158, 210, 209 and 224, ending with a tournament average of 207 pins per game.
Mindy Bartels, a junior from Lincoln, Neb., finished 35
th in the tournament after getting a total 973 pins, averaging 194 pins. Bartels had games of 190, 213, 188, 171 and 211.
Abby Yates, a freshman, finished 75
th after getting a total 909 pins with games of 199, 175, 183, 170 and 182. Yates had a average of 181.8 pins.
Kaitlyn Doyal, a junior from Topeka, Kan., finished in 196
th place finish with a tournament average of 160.7 after getting a total 482 pins after playing three games of 182, 156 and 144.
Aleia Crandall, a Junior from Lincoln, Neb., finished in 201
st after playing three games with scores of 175, 160 and 135 for a total 470 pins and averaging 156.7.
Caitlynn Gronenthal, a junior from Leigh, Neb., finished in the tournament at 226
th after getting 158 and 161 in a an average of 159.5 and total 319 pins.
Adria Huiett, a junior from Hutchinson, Kan., finished 254th in the tournament after having a total of 145 from the fourth game played.
Kailyn Schafer, a freshman, finished in 255th place after bowling a 143 in the fifth game.
