Peru State Women’s Bowling Finishes Seventh at Wildcat Challenge

(Peru, Neb.)—The Peru State women's bowling team competed at the Wildcat Challenge on the weekend of  Saturday, February 11, and Sunday, February 12. The Bobcats women's bowling team qualified for fourth in the Wildcat Challenge but could not get out of their first pod semifinal to advance in bracket play.

The Wildcat Challenge had 16 Baker style games Saturday and two team games with three more team games on Sunday.

Bracket play was a tad different this time around as they were placed in a pod system format. The top eight teams were placed in two pods and the two remaining teams out of each pod competed in the finals and the team with the highest score won the tournament.

All games in pod play were Baker style bowling.

The Peru State women's team qualified for fourth place heading into its pod. The pod consisted of Peru State, Columbia College, University of Saint Mary and Ottawa University. The Bobcats finished in third in their pod with games of 175, 167, 178 and 126 for a total of 646.

This knocked them out of qualifying for the final pod.
