(Peru, Neb.)- Peru State's Mindy Bartels has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Bowler of the Week following her standout performance at the Jayhawk Collegiate Challenge in Lawrence, Kansas.

Bartels led the Bobcats to a top-four team finish, placing ninth overall out of 111 competitors with a total pinfall of 904 and an impressive 180.8 average across five games. Her consistency at the top of the lineup helped Peru State finish fifth in qualifying and advance through match play to finish tied for third.

The senior's strong performance set the tone for the Bobcats throughout the weekend as the team posted a combined 4,202 pins in traditional play and advanced to the semifinals after sweeping Morningside in the opening round of match play.
