Wayne Albury recently announced that cross country runner
Alyssa Brink (Oakland, Iowa) and baseball player
William Reynolds (Bakersfield, Calif.) were named May Bobcat Athletes of the Month.
Brink recently earned CoSIDA Academic All-District® honors. It is the first time Brink has been honored and First-Team All-America® honors will be announced in the middle of June. It is the first time since 2013 that a women's cross country runner has been selected.
Reynolds last month was named to the Heart All-Tournament Team. During tournament play, Reynolds had nine hits on 14 at bats while scoring three runs and driving in six RBIs with a batting average of .643. Reynolds also had a perfect fielding percentage 1.000 with seven total putouts.
Also, Reynolds was announced a Golden Glove winner for his play in the field. Reynolds played in 48 games and on the season had a fielding percentage of .986, had 72 putouts on 74 total chances and only committed one error on the year.
