(Peru, Neb.)- Peru State College Catcher, Gustavo Rivera, signed with the Noth Platte 80's and made the Opening Day roster. Rivera is currently a senior from Bayamon, Puerto Rico majoring in Kinesiology and Psychology.
 
Rivera earned All-Conference Honorable Mention in the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
 
During his time at Peru State, Rivera had 96 hits and 76 RBI's, batting an average of .271. He completed his career at Peru State with a .976 fielding percentage. 
 
The North Platte 80s are a professional Baseball Team in the Mountain Division Pecos Leage. The team is located in North Platte, Nebraska and will have their first game of the season on Friday, May 30^th against the Garden City Wind of Garden City, Kansas.
