(Peru, Neb.) – Three Peru State football players were named to the
Omaha World-Herald All-Nebraska NAIA/NCAA Division III Football First Team. The honors were announced on Sunday by the paper and sports writer Gene Schinzel.

Named to the first team offense was senior offensive lineman
Quentin King (Omaha.). Earning first team defense recognition were senior defensive lineman
Stephen Bowers (LaVista) and freshman linebacker Zachary Taylor
(Gillette, Wyo.).

This was the second OWH All-NAIA/NCAA DIII Nebraska First Team honor Bowers. For King and Taylor, it was their first honor while King had been an honorable mention selection in 2017.

Five Bobcats were named to the honorable mention list for the Omaha honors. They included senior quarterback Dan Boshart
(Wood River), senior running back/kick returner
Colton Audsley (Prescott Valley, Ariz.), junior defensive lineman
Luis Constantino (Varzea Grande, Brazil), junior cornerback
Victor Hubbard (Corinth, Texas), and junior linebacker
Jordan Willis (Denver). Audsley had previously earned honorable mention honors as a freshman.

Previously, Bowers had earned Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) North First Team honors. Earning Heart Second Team recognition had been Audsley, King, Hubbard, and Taylor. Boshart, Constantino, and Willis were named to the honorable mention list for the Heart North.
