Following good performances in September, Emily Hausmann (Columbus) and Tyler Audsley (Prescott Valley, Ariz.) were named the Peru State Bobcat Athletes of the Month for September. Athletic director Steve Schneider recently made the announcement.
When Peru State participated in the College of St. Mary Golf Invite, Hausmann finished in a tie for ninth in the two-day meet. On the first day, Hausmann shot an 85 and was tied for tenth. On the second day, she came back with an 83 which moved her into the ninth-place tie.
For her performance in the College of St. Mary Invite, Hausmann was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week. The week before, Hausmann had an eighth place finish at the Midland meet. She tied for ninth in the Graceland meet and most recently tied for 16th in the NWU Pink Classic.
Schneider commented, “Emily and Tyler are deserving of their being named as the September Bobcat Athletes of the Month. Emily has been a three-year member of the golf team and has consistently been in the top two or three of the team’s golfers. Tyler has come back from his injury from last year and is a big reason why the team was 4-1 over the course of the first five weeks.”
