Peru State College Athletics

Aaron Smith (Houma, La.) and Mallory Hull (Morse Bluff) were named the Peru State Bobcat Athletes of the Month for October.  Athletic director Steve Schneider recently made the announcement.

Hull received another athlete of the month recognition as she was twice named as the Heart of America Athletic Conference Libero of the Week.  Her first recognition came on Oct. 6 when she helped lead the team to a 3-2 mark during the previous week.  She averaged 3.65 digs per set that week, including 16 digs in wins of Harris-Stowe College and the College of St. Mary.
 
On Oct. 20, Hull earned her second honor of the month as she averaged 7.43 digs per set in wins over Sterling College and Friends University.  She finished that week serving at a rate of 91.9% and was even better in service receptions, going 37 of 39 for 94.9%.  Presently, Hull is 11^th in the NAIA with 685 digs and is 31^st in digs per game (5.270).
