Traci Bohlmeyer (Fairbury/Weeping Water) is the Peru State Bobcat female athletes of the month for May/June as announced recently by athletic director Steve Schneider.
Bohlmeyer is being recognized as the female student-athlete of the month as she was recognized as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete and as a CoSIDA Capital One District Three First Team honoree. She was the only spring sport student-athlete to receive recognition by CoSIDA Capital One. In addition, Bohlmeyer will be a Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Scholar-Athlete when the list is released later this month.

As one of four seniors on the Bobcat softball team, Bohlmeyer helped to provide the leadership, along with her other seniors. The ‘Cats won 30 games this season, more than doubling their mark from 2013. Bohlmeyer finished the season hitting .317 with 44 hits, including seven doubles and two triples. She had a .932 fielding percentage and had 68 assists, ranking third on the team.

This fall, Bohlmeyer will be finishing her degree from Peru State as she will student teach in the Weeping Water school district.
