Peru State College Athletics

(Peru, Neb.) – Peru State College (PSC) Athletic Director Steve Schneider has announced that football player Ryan Ludlow (Plattsmouth) has been selected as the male Bobcat Athlete of the Month for September. This is a second year for the new recognition the Bobcat athletic department started last fall in conjunction with its new website. 

Ludlow earned the September honor for his efforts so far in the football season.  In the Bobcats' first win of the year, Ludlow exploded for 204 yards on 14 carries and had two touchdowns.  Ludlow was the first PSC runner to eclipse the 200-yard mark in a single game for at least ten years and was the most by a HAAC player since Tommy Meyer of Evangel ran for 207 yards against Avila during the 2010 season. 
 
Presently, Ludlow has 14 touchdowns on the season, which puts him second for the most touchdowns in a single season behind Bobcat Hall of Famer Alvin Holder, who finished the 1980 campaign with 17.  Ludlow currently leads the NAIA in four categories – total scoring (TDs) (84), scoring (TDs) per game (14.00), total scoring (84), and scoring per game (84).  Ludlow is third in the NAIA in rushing yards per game (136.5) and total rushing yards (819).  In the HAAC, Ludlow leads in all six categories.
