(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State volleyball team kept its momentum rolling with a dominant three-set sweep over UHSP on Saturday afternoon inside the AWAC. The Bobcats earned the victory by scores of 25-14, 25-18, and 25-19 to move to 2-0 on the season.

The Bobcats came out strong in the opening set, controlling the pace on both sides of the net. Behind four early service aces, Peru State built separation and never looked back, taking the first frame 25-14.

UHSP put together its best push in the second set, trading points early before Peru State's aggressive serving broke things open. The Bobcats racked up seven aces in the frame, including four straight from
Shealie Wiebers, to pull away for a 25-18 win.

Peru State closed out the match in the third set with steady offense and a balanced attack. The Bobcats hit .150 in the final frame and limited UHSP to just a .044 hitting percentage.

Wiebers led the way with seven kills, four service aces, and 13 digs.
Brinley Falkinburg added eight kills on an efficient .353 hitting, while Haylie chipped in five kills at a .400 clip.
Evelyn Stoakes provided a spark with five kills and four digs.

Defensively, Peru State collected 67 digs as a team, highlighted by Wiebers' 13 and
Braelyn Braithwaite with 15. At the net,
Kennedy Miller and
Eden Moore combined for a key block in the first set to help set the tone.

The Bobcats dominated the serving game, finishing with 13 aces compared to UHSP's five. Peru State also held a 33-25 advantage in kills.
