(Peru, Neb)- The Peru State Bobcats started off their 2025 season with a dominate win against the York Panthers on Wednesday night! The Bobcats are now 1-0 on the season.

The Bobcats struggled to find their rhythm early, dropping the opening set 20-25. Despite the setback,
Kalolaine Pasikala made her presence felt with four kills, while
Shealie Wiebers chipped in two service aces to keep the Bobcats within striking distance.

Peru State responded with authority in the second set, dominating on both ends of the court to earn a commanding 25-14 win. Alejandra Villareal powered the Bobcats with six kills and two aces, while
Addison Schneider anchored the defense with two big blocks at the net.

In a back-and-forth third set, the Bobcats leaned on their balance and composure to pull away late, winning 25-20. Pasikala and
Eden Moore each tallied six points in the frame, giving Peru State the 2-1 edge in the match.

The Bobcats closed the door in convincing fashion, rolling to a 25-16 fourth-set victory. Villareal continued her steady play with four kills, while Schneider, Pasikala, and Moore each added three kills apiece.
Kennedy Miller also came up big defensively with two blocks to seal the win.
