(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Athletic Department is excited to announce Gabbi Dupuis as the Head Volleyball Coach.
"This program means so much to me, and I couldn't be more excited and truly honored to become the Head Coach for Peru State Volleyball after spending the past three years as an assistant," said Dupuis. "I've had a front row seat to witness the incredible 180-degree shift we've made as a team, and I truly believe we're on the brink of something special here in Peru, NE. I can't wait to lead this group, keep building on our progress, and push us to new heights."
Dupuis was promoted to head volleyball coach after serving as the Bobcats' assistant coach during the 2023 and 2024 seasons. She originally joined the staff in 2022 as a graduate assistant and quickly established herself as a strong leader within the program.
During her time as an assistant, Dupuis served as the head coach of the Varsity Reserve team, where she helped develop athletes into varsity-level contributors. She also assisted with game planning, player development, and recruiting efforts.
Dupuis also played a key role in the program's academic and athletic success. She helped lead the Bobcats to the Heart of America Conference Tournament for the first time since 2017. Additionally, the team earned the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2024–25 academic year, while producing Six All-Conference award winners, 18 Daktronics Scholar-Athletes, and 11 Heart Scholar-Athletes during her tenure as assistant coach.
Beyond her work on the court, Dupuis managed the volleyball program's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, which helped grow the team's brand and online presence.
"Gabbi has been a loyal and effective member of the PSC coaching staff. The campus community is excited to see her move into the head coaching role. She will make us proud," said Scott Briell, Interim Vice President of Enrollment Management and Currently Overseeing the Athletic Department.
In addition to her collegiate coaching, Dupuis has been heavily involved with the Central Missouri Volleyball Club since 2017. She currently serves as Vice President, chairing the Tournament Committee, overseeing CMVBC-sponsored events, and assisting athletes in the recruiting process. As a club coach, she has planned and led practices, run positional clinics and private lessons for athletes of all ages, and guided three teams to USAV Nationals.
A 2021 graduate of the University of Saint Mary, Dupuis earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
