(Cedar Rapids, Iowa)- The Peru State women's bowling team delivered a strong performance at the
Five Seasons Classic, hosted by Mount Mercy in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, finishing
4th among NAIA programs with a 7-3 head-to-head record and
7th overall in total pinfall out of 18 competing teams. The Bobcats opened the meet with an impressive first day, going
4-1 during the team game block while posting
4,336 total pins for an
867.2 average. Their day was highlighted by a 982-point win over Grand View, helping secure a top-four position heading into baker play.
Individually, the Bobcats were led by Makenzie Millard, who put together a standout 985 series and a 197 average to place 7th overall. Lindsay Niemann followed with a consistent 906 total and an 181.2 average, finishing 21st, while Mindy Bartels added a strong 183.8 average in her four scored games. Kaitlyn Doyal contributed an 835 series with a 167 average, while Aleia Crandall (310 pins), Abby Yates (294 pins), and Haylie Colwell (146 average) added depth to the lineup. Ashley Pfeifer did not compete.
On day two, Peru State battled through five baker blocks to finish 3-2. After dropping the first two sets, the Bobcats rallied to win the final three with sets of 729, 655, and 682.
