Bowling Competes at NAIABCA Invitational in Topeka, Kansas

(Topeka, Kansas)-  The Peru State men's and women's bowling teams wrapped up a competitive weekend at the NAIABCA Invitational in Topeka, Kansas, showing strong effort, growth, and several standout performances. On the men's side, the Bobcats finished 18th on Day 1, 18th on Day 2, and 18th overall in the 18-team field. Despite the placement, the men showed major improvement on the second day, narrowing a 350-pin deficit to just 125 pins across 25 Baker games—a testament to their resilience and progress throughout the event. They ultimately finished 480 pins back overall but left encouraged by the strides they made.

The Peru State women turned in an impressive showing on both days. The Lady Bobcats sat in 9th place after Day 1, just 70 pins shy of reaching match play, and continued to battle on Day 2, climbing to 8th place and finishing only 75 pins out of 7th. Their two-day total of 8,615 pins secured a strong 10th-place finish out of 20 teams, just 55 pins behind 9th. Three standout performances led the way: Senior Makenzie Millard placed 11th with a 963 total and a 192.3 average; freshman Lindsay Niemann followed closely in 12th with a 948 total, averaging 189.6; and sophomore Ashley Pfeifer finished 69th with a 707 total and a 176.75 average
