Below is a breakdown of how each set went between the Wildcats and the Bobcats:

The Wildcats started the third set on an 8-0 run, before a kill by Mendick would stop the Wayne State run. Kills by Miller and Krise would have the Wildcat lead trimmed down to seven as they led 10-3. Later in the third Michelle Beer (Salem) and Krise would get a few kills as Wayne State still led 14-6.

Wayne State then extended their lead out to ten late in the third set leading 18-8. Peru State would get a few more points from an error and kills by Mendick, Miller and Krise but would lose the set 25-13 and they would end up losing the match 3-0.

Here's what head coach Madison Kindle had to say about the exhibition match…

"It was such a great opportunity for us to compete and build a relationship with sister school, Wayne State last night," said Coach Kindle. "It was awesome to see our players compete against a well-trained, high-level NCAA D2 program and to have an opportunity to grow in areas we've been training on in practice."

Krise led the way in kills with six while Mendick and Beer fell behind her with five and four respectively. Gordon and Schneider each had an ace. Schneider led the way in  assists with 18, Gordon had three and Chantal Paniagua (Santo Domingo, D.R.) with two. Mattie Nichols (Auburn) had eight digs on the night, Schneider had six and Beer ended with four.
