(Des Moines, Iowa.)- The Peru State College women's cross country team traveled to compete at the Viking Invitational hosted by Grand View on Saturday.
 
The Bobcats would finish ninth out of ten teams competing in the 6k event that saw teams from NCAA Division II, Division III, and NAIA levels with a team score of 255.
 
Peru State was led by Mia Arroyo who crossed the finish line in 28:09.35 to place 81^st out of 122 runners while Madison VanLaningham clocked a time of 28:45.60 to take 88^th. Ronja Boehme ran a time of 32:07.51 which placed 104^th overall and Stella Wondercheck placed 109^th with a time of 33:29.61.
 
Lauren Wingert logged a time of 35:50.38 to round out the Bobcat runners and place 117^th overall.
 
Wartburg won the team title with an overall score of 24 while Bellevue's Grace Steinmetz claimed the individual title with a time of 22:30.88.

Peru State will be back in action on October 3^rd where the Bobcats travel to participate in the Briar Cliff Invite.
