(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State women's golf team hosted the Peru State Fall Invite on Friday and Saturday, September 26–27, welcoming a strong field to Table Creek Golf Course. The Bobcats entered two teams in the event and put together a solid showing highlighted by sophomore Joslyn Johnson's first-place finish.
Johnson carded rounds of 79 and 76 on the par-71 course, finishing with a two-day total of 155 (+13) to earn medalist honors. She was the only golfer in the field to break 80 in both rounds and secured the top spot by a comfortable margin.
The Bobcat team featuring Johnson, Jersey Odgaard, Alex Barnett, Hailey Matthews, and Rayne Biltoft placed third overall in the team standings. Barnett finished 15th with a total of 175 (+33) after rounds of 88 and 85. Odgaard was close behind in 16th with a 176 (+34), highlighted by a second-round 83. Biltoft took 20th at 185 (+43), while Matthews closed in 23rd at 190 (+48).
The second Peru State team of Luci Dunkeson, Lillian Barnes, Abigail Mathis, Katelin Lohmann, Maddie Kime, and Lexys Ruch finished seventh overall. Lohmann paced the group with a 27th-place finish at 192 (+50), followed by Dunkeson in 31st at 197 (+55) after a strong second-round 93. Barnes and Mathis tied for 33rd at 199 (+57), while Kime placed 36th at 205 (+63). Ruch rounded out the scoring with a 46th-place finish at 255 (+113).
