(Yankton, S.D.)- The Peru State College golf team started off the season at the Hillcrest Golf and Country Club to participate in the Mount Marty Invite in Yankton, South Dakota. The Bobcats A team finished 12^th overall in the field with a score of 783 while the Peru State B team took 13^th place scoring a total of 890.
 
The Bobcats A team was led by Rayne Biltoft who shot 188 over two rounds to hold 50^th overall in the field of 72 golfers while Jamie "Alex" Barnett turned in a scorecard of 87 in the second round to take 52^nd while scoring 189. Peru State's scoring four was rounded out by Jersey Odgaard who marked a score of 200 to place 63^rd while Katelin Lohmann finished 66^th after shooting a score of 206.
 
The B team was led by Lillian "Lilly" Barnes who hit two birdies over the invite to finish 61^st after scoring 195, Luci Dunkeson shot 200 to capture 64^th overall while Maddie Kime finished 70^th scoring a 227 and Lexys Ruch marked 268 over two rounds to finish 72^nd.  
 
Morningside claimed the team title after shooting a 637 over two rounds while Allison Meyerink of Dakota Wesleyan took home the individual title after shooting 147 over two rounds.
 
Peru State returns to the course on Friday, September 25^th when the Bobcats host the Peru State College Fall Invitational at the Table Creek Golf Course in Nebraska City.
