(Parkville, Mo.)- The Peru State Softball Team fell to the Park Pirates in their two-game series on Tuesday afternoon. The Bobcats are now 4-8 in the Heart of America Conference and 9-22 overall.

The Bobcats held the Pirates scoreless through the first three innings. Offensively, the Bobcats had three hits, with
Kloey Hamblen,
Ellie Ohlde, and
Casidy Sipek each contributing one.

Emily Vannatta started on the mound for Peru State, allowing just three runs over the first three innings and striking out two batters.

Game 2 (Peru State 0 – Park 8)

The Pirates took an early lead and extended it with a big fifth inning that put the Bobcats in a tough position to close the gap. The Bobcats collected five hits in the game, with
Casidy Sipek leading the way with two hits, including a double.
Leann Hawkins,
Kloey Hamblen, and
Autumn Dixon each had one hit.

Sage Issacs pitched for the Bobcats, allowing five runs and striking out three.
