(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Softball Team dropped their two games against nationally ranked #10 Central Methodist. The Bobcats are now 4-14 in the Heart of America Conference and 9-29 overall.

Game 1 (Peru State 0 – Central Methodist 8)

The Bobcats tallied six hits in the game, led by
Ellie Ohlde with a solid two-hit performance.
Jami Mans,
Leann Hawkins,
Kloey Hamblen, and
Maci Green each chipped in with a hit of their own to round out the offense.

On the mound,
Sydney Chubbuck got the start and delivered a strong outing, holding the Eagles to just three runs.

Game 2 (Peru State 8 – Central Methodist 18)

The Bobcats came out swinging in their latest matchup, setting the tone early with a solo home run by
Ellie Ohlde in the first inning. They kept the momentum going in the second, as
Eva Schultz drove in
Harmony Franke with a sharp single, and Ohlde followed up with a sacrifice fly to bring Schultz home.

The fifth inning was where the Bobcats racked up five runs.
Jami Mans got things started with a single to center that brought herself around to score, followed by
Reagan Wiehe's RBI single that plated Mans.
Kaelyn Hamblen added to the surge with a single to center, scoring
Kaylee Harsh, and
Leann Hawkins kept the rally alive with a base hit that drove in
Jordan Tracy.
Kloey Hamblen capped off the scoring with a single to right field that brought
Kaelyn Hamblen across the plate.

Offensively, the Bobcats racked up an impressive 14 hits.
Leann Hawkins led the charge with three hits, while
Kloey Hamblen,

Eva Schultz each tallied two hits apiece.
