In his first year as Head Coach,
Mike Sybrant led the Peru State Women's Basketball team through the 2024-2025 season. The Bobcats posted an overall record of 8-20, including 6-18 in Heart of America Conference play.
Kylie Diaz stood out on the court, winning 3
rd Team All-Conference recognition after the season. Diaz shot 48.3% from the field while averaging a team-leading 14.3 points per game. Defensively, Diaz averaged 3.0 blocks per game and 1.6 steals per game, which helped her win the Heart Defensive Player of the Week on February 24
th.
Erison Vonderschmidt led the team in field goal percentage with 49.7% on 11.4 points per game. Beyond the three-point arc,
Hailey Ingram shot 33.7% while averaging 11.3 points per game.
Savannah Bingham led the team from the foul line at 85.7% and
Natasha Deal also was a key contributor on the squad with 10.9 points per game.
Natasha Deal was named to the 2024-2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team. The CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field, in the classroom, and in the community while maintaining a minimum grade point average of 3.50 or higher while playing in 90 percent of the contests to earn the honor.
The Bobcats will have to replace two seniors from the team:
Hailey Ingram and
Natasha Deal.
