(Dubuque, Iowa)- The Peru State Softball Team played a two-game series against the Clarke Pride on Sunday, April 13
th. The Bobcats fell in both games in the matchup. The team is now 4-12 in the Heart of America Conference and 9-26 overall.

Game 1 (Peru State 3 – Clarke 7)

Maci Green ignited the Bobcats' offense, launching a home run in the third inning. In the fifth,
Jordan Tracy came through with a clutch single to left field, driving in
Kaylee Harsh.
Reagan Wiehe added to the scoring in the sixth, blasting a home run to right field. The Bobcats totaled seven hits in the game, with Green and Wiehe leading the charge, each contributing two.

On the mound,
Emily Vannatta allowed just four runs while recording three strikeouts.
Sage Issacs also made her mark in the circle, adding a strikeout to the team's efforts.

Game 2 (Peru State 4 – Clarke 7)

The Bobcats got off to a strong start, with
Reagan Wiehe and
Ellie Ohlde both crossing home plate in the first inning. In the second, Ohlde delivered a clutch single that brought Kylee Dieckman in to score. In the final inning, Ohlde made a key sacrifice groundout, allowing
Kloey Hamblen to score.

Sydney Chubbuck took the mound, holding the Mustangs to just two runs while recording a strikeout.
