(Peru, Neb.) – The Peru State Bobcat baseball team will be hosting a pair of events the first weekend in April.
 
On Saturday, April 5, the Bobcats will be hosting the Auburn Bombers 10 and under baseball team when Peru State hosts Graceland University in a double header beginning at 1 p.m. The Bombers will join the Bobcats on the field for the national anthem.
 
Prior to the game, BigIron Auctions will be hosting a tailgate for all to enjoy beginning at 11 a.m.

Between games, the Bombers and their coaches will do drills while the Bobcats and Yellow Jackets prepare for the second game of the double header.
 
The following day, Sunday, April 6, Peru State will be wearing replica throwback jerseys honoring the 1994 baseball team which was inducted into the College's Hall of Fame this past fall. In between the games with the Yellow Jackets, all baseball alumni in attendance will be recognized. The first game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. with the recognition occurring at approximately 3:15 p.m.
 
Serving food truck concessions on Sunday will be Phenom Risen Creative of Auburn.
 
Admittance is free to the games both days.
 
The Bobcats are presently 10-18 overall and are 4-8 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
