(Bethany, Okla.)- The Peru State Softball Team took on the Southwestern Christian Eagles on Thursday, March 13
th in a double header. The Bobcats are now 3-11 overall.

Jami Mans put the Bobcats on the scoreboard after a single, hit by
Kaelyn Hamblen in the second inning. Cassidy Sipek and
Kloey Hamblen had two hits with
Kaelyn Hamblen,
Jami Mans and
Autumn Dixon each adding a hit in the game.

Emberlyn Medsker took the mound for Peru State in this tough match-up on allowing four hits. Â

Game 2 (Peru State 1 – Southwestern Christan 9)

The Bobcats scored in the second inning as a result of team coordination, where
Jaylin Harsh showcased her base running skills by stealing third base.
Kloey Hamblen followed up with a crucial RBI via a sacrifice fly to bring Harsh home.
Casidy Sipek,
Jami Mans and
Eva Schultz each also added a hit for the Bobcats.

On the mound, Sidney Chubbuck started as the pitcher, contributing to a defensive effort by only allowing the Eagles four hits. Unfortunately, the Bobcats' efforts weren't enough to stop the Eagles.
