(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Baseball Team opened their season at Oklahoma Panhandle State on February 7
th and 8
th. The Bobcats took one win away from the weekend. The Bobcats are now 1-3 overall.

Kicking off the season, the Bobcats put forward
Kevin Diaz as the starting pitcher. Despite a solid performance, the game ultimately leaned towards Oklahoma Panhandle State, who improved their season record to 5-4, while Peru State College started their season at 0-1. During the game,
Jonas Meairs-Richman, who pinch-ran for
Gustavo Rivera, made a noteworthy effort but was unfortunately picked off at first base, highlighting some of the finer moments of in-game strategy. The Bobcats now look forward to their next game, aiming for a strong comeback after this initial setback.
