Box Score (Peru, Neb.)- In an exciting non-conference battle in the AWAC, the Peru State Women's Basketball team, conquered the Southwestern team 80-62 on Wednesday night.

The first quarter began with the Bobcats taking an early 8-point lead, showcasing strong defensive plays, including a notable block from MaKinley Tobey. Southwestern responded with a three-pointer, but Vonderschmidt's multiple layups and Tobey's continuous defensive efforts helped Peru State end the first period ahead, 19-11. The second quarter saw Southwestern closing the gap with early three-pointers, yet Tobey's impressive layup and Vonderschmidt's consistent scoring widened the Bobcats' lead to 40-32 by halftime.

Key assists from Diaz and a critical three-pointer by Savannah Bingham pushed the lead to a commanding 20 points, concluding the third quarter at 60-46. Maintaining their lead in the final stretch, the Bobcats' relentless defense and consistent scoring from significant players ensured the game concluded at a strong 80-62.
