(Sioux City, Iowa)- Despite another strong offensive showing, the Peru State men's basketball team came up short on Tuesday night, falling 105–87 at Morningside.
The Bobcats shot an impressive 55.2% from the field and knocked down 13 three-pointers, hanging tight in a fast-paced first half that saw Morningside take a 46–40 lead into the break. Peru State opened the game with early momentum, including a pair of triples from Everett Stubblefield and Ty Griggs that pushed the Bobcats in front, but the Mustangs answered with a series of runs to regain control.
Everett Stubblefield led the Bobcats with 22 points, including five made threes, while adding three steals and three rebounds. Caleb Iheukwu scored 14 points, all in the first half, and Victor Lado added 13 on an efficient 6-for-9 shooting night. Ashton Lovette and Denim Johnson each chipped in 10, giving Peru State five players in double figures.
