(Fulton, Mo.)- The Peru State College Bobcats basketball team was defeated by the William Woods Owls with a final score of 74-54. 

The opening period saw the Peru State Bobcats take an early lead with a layup by Christian Tidiane, but the Owls did not trail for long. By the end of the first period, William Woods had established a 38-31 advantage. Despite efforts to close the gap in the second period, with contributions from Everett Stubblefield who scored a total of 14 points.

The Bobcats showed a robust team performance with key contributions from Ty Griggs with 9 points and 3 steals, and Jamal Hollins, who led the rebounding effort with 9 rebounds. Despite these efforts, the second half saw William Woods solidifying their dominance, leveraging a cohesive defense and managing fast-break points that overwhelmed the Bobcats.
