Women's Basketball Wins Big at Waldorf

(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Women's Basketball Team showcased their dominance in a compelling basketball showdown against the Waldorf Warriors on October 25, 2025, at Forest City, Iowa, part of their regular season schedule. The Bobcats triumphed with a significant 85-54 victory, moving their season record to 1-1.

From the outset, the Bobcats set the pace with Kylie Diaz making the first score through free throws. Erison Vonderschmidt further energized the team by sinking a 3-pointer, assisted by MaKinley Tobey. Their aggressive offense continued to swell their lead, highlighted by Vonderschmidt's key layup and free throws, ending the first period ahead at 25-18.

The second period saw the Bobcats widening the gap. Notable defensive plays by Tiara Dodd and Savannah Bingham, coupled with strategic scoring, pushed their lead to a commanding 51-29 by halftime.
