(St. Louis, Mo.)- The Peru State volleyball team fell in straight sets to No. 20-ranked Missouri Baptist on Saturday afternoon inside the Petty SRC. The Bobcats dropped the match 25-8, 25-20, 25-17, moving to 11-15 overall and 4-9 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play.
After a slow start in the opening frame, Peru State responded with a strong second set, pushing the Spartans late before ultimately falling 25-20. The Bobcats recorded 20 kills on the day, led by Shealie Wiebers with four, while Kalolaine Pasikala, Eden Moore, and Kennedy Miller each added three.
Sami Chesley directed the attack with 10 assists and tallied one of Peru State's two service aces. Marina Fenga led the defense with nine digs, and Moore made her presence felt at the net with a team-high five block assists. Chancie Deaton contributed four block assists and a pair of kills off the bench.
