(Peru, Neb.)-The Peru State volleyball team came up short against Park University on Tuesday night, falling in straight sets (17-25, 19-25, 20-25) in Heart of America Athletic Conference action inside the AWAC.
The Bobcats battled throughout the match, keeping each set competitive but were unable to overcome Park's balanced attack. Peru State hit .066 as a team with 33 kills while totaling seven blocks and 58 digs on the night.
Eden Moore led the way offensively with eight kills to go along with six digs and a block assist. Alejandra Villareal also tallied eight kills and 10 digs, while Addison Schneider added five kills and two block assists with an impressive .333 hitting percentage. Shealie Wiebers chipped in seven kills and 11 digs, and Kennedy Miller contributed on defense with four block assists.
Setter Sami Chesley dished out 22 assists and added seven digs, while Alina Hoxha came off the bench to post six assists and five digs. Emily Sherman and Marina Fenga helped anchor the back row, collecting eight and seven digs respectively.
