(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State volleyball team came up short on Tuesday night inside the Al Wheeler Activity Center, falling 3–0. The Pioneers took the match by scores of 25–19, 25–16, and 25–22.
The Bobcats (now 11–14 overall, 4–8 in the Heart) battled throughout the evening, especially in the third set where they traded points late before the Pioneers sealed the sweep.
Alejandra Villareal led Peru State with six kills and six digs, while Addison Schneider anchored the net with four blocks and three kills. Kennedy Miller added four kills, four digs, and a block, and Eden Moore chipped in four kills on the outside. Setter Teodora Bulatovic ran the offense with 11 assists and 11 digs, while Emily Sherman led the back row defense with 12 digs.
As a team, the Bobcats finished with 27 kills, 53 digs, and six total blocks. Schneider and Kalolaine Pasikala each recorded solo blocks to highlight Peru State's presence at the net.
