(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Women's Basketball team faced a tough challenge against the Baker Wildcats on Wednesday night, ultimately falling 58-70.
The Bobcats came out strong in the first quarter, with
Kylie Diaz contributing six points, three rebounds, and two blocks, and
Hailey Ingram adding six points and two steals. At halftime, Peru State was down 38-29, with Diaz leading the way with 10 points and seven rebounds.
In the second half, Diaz continued her strong play, finishing with 25 points, nine rebounds, six blocks, and two steals. Despite her efforts, the Bobcats were unable to overcome Baker's defense and fell 70-58.
Ingram finished with nine points and four steals, while
Erison Vonderschmidt added eight points, five rebounds, and two blocks.
Taydem Miller contributed eight points, three rebounds, four steals, and four assists.
