(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Women's Basketball team secured a convincing win against the William Penn Statesmen with a final score of 63-49 at home on Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats are now 5-14 in the Heart of America Conference and 7-16 overall.

The Bobcats started slow in the first quarter as the Statesmen an early lead.
Natasha Deal had five points and two rebounds in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Deal added six points with
Kylie Diaz having five rebounds. The game saw the Bobcats lead at halftime by a narrow margin of 30-27 before extending their lead by the final whistle.

Natasha Deal delivered an outstanding performance, leading the scoring with a stellar 23 points, along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists. She was well-supported by
Kylie Diaz and
Hailey Ingram, who added 14 and 11 points respectively and collectively contributed critical defensive plays, tallying a combination of 15 rebounds and 7 blocks. Diaz notably secured a double-double, proving instrumental in both offensive and defensive facets of the game.
