The Peru State Bobcats secured an 81-74 victory over the Mount Mercy Mustangs in a closely contested game. Leading 35-34 at halftime, the Bobcats extended their lead in the second half, with standout performances from key players. The Bobcats are now 8-2 in the Heart of America Conference and 12-2 overall.
Carlos Hines led the way with 26 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Devin Tomlinson posted a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds, while also adding a block and steal. Stephen Coleman Jr. contributed five rebounds and a block, and Aaron Miller added 11 points, eight rebounds, and a steal.
The Bobcats will be on the road on Saturday, January 4th as they take on the Clarke Pride at 2:00pm.
